Subject: Invitation to serve on a committee
Committee Name: “Shoreline Protection Committee”
Purpose: The board of directors is aware of a concern that has been raised by members of SLPOA, including board members, that shoreline erosion and property damage can occur as a result of wakes created by watercraft. It is the intent of the board of directors to form a committee to seek actions that will reduce this erosion and property damage.
Committee Charge: To formulate an action plan to,
- Collaborate with other lake organizations that are seeking similar action.
- Engage relevant elected officials to address the issues through existing and potential new regulations and enforcement.
- Educate lake property owners and other users about the existing regulations, best boating practices and related issues caused by watercraft.
- Other actions as determined by the committee and approved by the board of directors.
